The Beaver Area School District is one of three founding school districts in the Beaver County Innovation and Learning Consortium. The consortium has been recognized by the PA Department of Education as an informal STEM Ecosystem in Pennsylvania and provides quality professional development and long-term support for teachers embracing innovation in their classrooms. The consortium has been in place since 2016 and now includes seven districts.

The Beaver Area School District also participates in Remake Learning Days each year by encouraging staff members to attend as well as offering sessions to the community at their middle school.

The Beaver Area School District is widely recognized for their innovative practices in STEM and technology. The district’s technology department is entirely student-run with oversight from the Director of Technology. Students create apps used by the district, provide professional development to teachers, handle all desktop support, fix student and teacher iPads, manage product sales, and physically run wires. More than 80 students facilitate the district’s technology program. Beaver Area School District is a great destination for innovation and technology integration.
