Aliquippa Impact is a non-profit organization that provides safe environments and relationships to at-risk youth in the city of Aliquippa.
They offer four programs: after school program (ASP), summer day camp, community based mentoring, and cohorts. Young people in the after school program receive homework assistance, educational enrichment, STEM activities, and visual and performing art classes. Summer day camp engages children through a global curriculum to explore the world, LEGO projects, visual and performing arts, and field trips.
Through Cohorts and Mentoring programs, Aliquippa Impact keeps a continuous relationship with students that extends far beyond their school years. These programs help students discover new interests and achieve their goals.
Through Aliquippa Impact, students are exposed to new ideas through programming and other activities, while also having a safe space to build relationships. When the students are being inquisitive, critical thinkers, they thrive in and outside of Aliquippa Impact programs. These skills can only be developed through the shared goal of providing a safe, encouraging environment for the children.
