SWPA Moonshot Grants challenge applicants to envision their preferred future of learning—what they hope learning will look like ten to twenty years in the future. Grants of up to $70,000 will be awarded to successful applicants.
Ideas should be experimental, incorporate collaboration, and center equity and justice by supporting learners of color, learners in poverty, learners in rural areas, girls in STEM and/or learners with disabilities.
Compelling ideas will represent fresh initiatives aimed at shaping the future of learning rather than expanding upon initiatives that already exist.
Eligible applicants will reside and/or work in the greater Pittsburgh region of southwestern Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio, and northern West Virginia.
Informational Workshops
Informational Workshops will help applicants better understand the RFP process, brainstorm and craft project ideas, and provide ample time for discussion and questions. New Moonshot Grant applicants must attend one of the 2024 workshop.
