2025 Pulse Check Moonshot Grants
Remake Learning Moonshot Grants invite applicants to envision a preferred future of learning and imagine what small steps they could take today toward that giant leap in the future.
This round, the Moonshot Grant opportunity will focus on igniting region-wide transformations inspired by the priorities of Remake Learning’s Pulse Checks.
In spring 2025, Remake Learning organized two series of Pulse Check meetings and investigations, one focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and one focused on Outdoor Learning. Learn more about Pulse Checks.
Moonshot priorities emerging from the AI Pulse Check:
- Prepare learners for careers in an AI-driven world by connecting them with local employers, mentors, and hands-on experiences that build skills in ethical and creative-technology use.
- Use AI tools to spark new creative pursuits—helping young people to imagine, design, and experiment in developmentally-appropriate ways that push their learning.
- Leverage AI tools to bring learners together—helping educators and young people to share ideas, co-create designs, projects, and/or solutions; and do something that they might not otherwise be able to do without AI.
Moonshot priorities emerging from the Outdoor Learning Pulse Check:
- Give learners opportunities to explore career pathways in the outdoors and environmental fields, helping them see themselves as future leaders in these fields.
- Create experiences where learning flows across classrooms and the outdoors, inspiring curiosity and creativity.
- Build strong partnerships between schools and out-of-school providers around the implementation of the new STEELS Standards so students can benefit from the expertise of environmental educators and the resources of the wider community.
Grants of up to $50,000 are available. The application process will ask you to propose how you would test your idea at different funding amounts.
How to Apply
Applicants will complete a Letter of Intent (LOI) template that includes prompts to select a priority area inspired by Remake Learning’s idea, outline their preferred future of learning, and explain how they propose to use the grant funding.
Following a review of all LOIs received, Remake Learning will invite selected applicants to submit full proposals.
Funding decisions will be made following a review of all eligible proposals received by the deadline.
