Designing Learning Ecosystems for Interconnectivity
Powered by Remake LearningYoung people’s lives are interconnected, but our systems are not. A learner may move between school, afterschool programs, community organizations, workplaces, cultural institutions, higher education experiences, and civic spaces in a single week. Yet each of these experiences is typically governed by different rules, funding streams, credentials, accountability systems, and definitions of learning.
Learning ecosystems emerge when communities intentionally create connections across these environments, enabling learning, relationships, and other opportunities to move with young people rather than remain tied to specific institutions.
