Val Williams

Val serves as Kindergarten Transition Program Director with Trying Together, supporting the Hi5 Initiative for Kindergarten Transition and working to connect early learning systems across the Birth-Age 8 continuum in Allegheny County and beyond. Val holds a Masters of Educational Policy & Leadership from American University and a Bachelors of Fine Arts from the College Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati. Val’s previous work includes direct instruction for children Birth-12th grade and non-profit program leadership in the areas of Early Childhood Education, Performing Arts & Creative Education, and K-4 English Language Arts Instruction. Val is a passionate advocate for systems-level change and building creative and diverse educational opportunities so that every child sees themselves reflected in their curriculum, community, school, and the world and can follow their own path to thriving joy.
