Sylvester Hanner

Dr. Sylvester Hanner is a professional school counselor for Pittsburgh Public Schools. In this role, Dr. Hanner supports the social, emotional, and academic development of students at Pittsburgh Obama Academy 6-12. Dr. Hanner earned his Ph.D. in Duquesne’s Counselor Education and Supervision program where his research focuses on the school counselor’s role in the academic success and equity of underserved students.
