
Stephanie Wilsey
Stephanie Wilsey is the Executive Director of Saltworks Theatre Company, a non-profit, professional arts organization dedicated to supporting the emotional, social, and spiritual growth of children and youth through high-quality educational theater. Stephanie holds a doctorate in applied developmental psychology (which uses developmental science to promote positive development for children, families, and communities) from the University of Pittsburgh. She served for many years as a professor, department chair, and dean at Carlow University, where she was recognized for excellence in student advising and for championing experiential learning opportunities. She is also the co-founder of Authentic Academic Insights, a research and consulting organization focused on human-centered educational and organizational approaches. A musician, vocalist, and former touring actor and performer while studying at Geneva College, Dr. Wilsey is delighted to unite her passion for youth education and the performing arts at Saltworks Theatre. Saltworks provides impactful social issue shows to area schools, Out-of-School Time opportunities for area children and youth interested in developing theater skills, and annual mainstage shows through Saltworks Family-Friendly Theatre.
