Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Laurel Highlands School District

I have dedicated my career to education and hope that I continue to make a difference in education. Currently, I am the Director of Curriculum and Instruction K-12 with the Laurel Highlands School District since 2009. I started teaching French in the Conneaut Lake Jr./Sr. High School for a 7 year period. I was then hired by Mars Area Middle School as an assistant principal where I worked for 4 years before coming to Laurel Highlands High School as an assistant principal for 3 years. II has been great to be an adjunct professor at Waynesburg University since 2019 instructing Technology in education and Secondary Science Methods. I am humbled to mention that I was selected as Educator of the Year for the Chamber of Commerce in 2013, received the Champion of Learning Award from the PA Consortium for Public Education in 2017, have served on the Fayette County American Heart Association Board, is a board member for Fayette County's Communities that Care Initiative, is a Fayette Chamber of Commerce Board Director, and is a board member of the Springwood Homeowners' Association. I have earned my Letter of Eligibility for Superintendent from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in December 2008. Also from Edinboro University of PA, I earned a Master of Education in August 2001 and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Secondary School Administration in May 2000. In May of 1995 I earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from California University of Pennsylvania. I have hosted previous Remake Learning days and enjoy learning what other school districts are doing in education.
