Meredith Bortz
Today Meredith is a senior consultant with Outside Angle, a change leadership firm that helps teams as they navigate organizational transitions, find ways of aligning and performing together through change, and approach big ideas for what is possible. She came to this work after 15 years of experience in education policy and reform. Meredith most enjoys working alongside visionary leaders to bring to life their big ideas for positive social change, and she is particularly passionate about issues of belonging, equity, and approaches to reform that recognize and empower the potential of all youth to realize their biggest dreams. Meredith's past involvement with Remake Learning has included serving as the communications lead for the Shifting Power in Educational Research & Development initiative (2020-2022), co-leading a White Fragility book discussion (2020) and Race in Rural Spaces series (2021), supporting teacher professional development research (Sevenzo, 2018-2019), and contributing to network conversations about student belonging and social and emotional learning (Sevenzo, 2017-2019).
