Melissa Wood

I am an experienced educator with a strong background in early childhood and special education. I currently serve as a Certification and Field Placement Coordinator, supporting future teachers as they prepare for professional roles in education. With more than 15 years of classroom teaching experience and five years in supervisory positions, I bring deep knowledge of curriculum design, instructional leadership, and student support. My professional goals focus on strengthening educator preparation, advancing equity in education, and fostering innovative teaching practices. I am especially interested in social-emotional learning, behavior management, and the integration of new instructional approaches that engage all learners. Through my involvement with Remake Learning, I will actively contribute to building connections between schools, communities, and educators to inspire creativity, collaboration, and lifelong learning opportunities.
