Director of Outreach and Alumni Engagement at University of Pittsburgh

Mackenzie is the Director of Outreach and Alumni Engagement for the University of Pittsburgh, School of Computing and Information (SCI). She is responsible for the strategic planning and management of the school’s outreach and alumni programs, including all school-wide events focused on outreach & DEI. Mackenzie also directs the school’s pre-college STEM program, the Technology Leadership Initiative, serves as the Advisor to many of the school’s student organizations, manages the SCI Alumni Board including the SCI Alumni Mentorship Program, and plans and directs the school’s student hackathons. Additionally, Mackenzie is the NCWIT Western PA Affiliate Chair for the Aspirations in Computing program. Lastly, Mackenzie serves on the Leadership Team for the Broadening Equity in STEM Center (BE STEM) at Pitt and she is senior personnel on an NSF INCLUDES Alliance, The STEM PUSH (Pathways for Underrepresented Students to HigherEd) Network. In her role with STEM PUSH she serves on the HUB leadership team and on the communications team.
