Jorge E. Delgado is an international higher education scholar. Jorge worked 15 years as a professor of Javeriana's Dental School where he was in charge of teaching cariology, dental public health, research methods, and scientific reading/writing; managing research, professional development of fellow professors, evaluation and assessment, and accreditation. Recently, Jorge joined the faculty of Purdue University Global’s Education Doctorate Department. Jorge have taught undergraduate/graduate online/in-classroom courses on Latin American social and public policy, Latin American studies, educational foundations, higher education, and international education at the University of Pittsburgh. He is also the Editor-in-chief of Javeriana's online scientific journal Universitas Odontologica. In 2018, Jorge joined the team of Pitt's Institute for International Studies in Education as Project Coordinator for Alumni, Partnerships, and Publications. Jorge's research focuses mainly on the development/ institutionalization of research in Latin American universities (higher education and science, technology, and innovation policy/ systems, institutional research policy/ organization, faculty development, international research collaboration, communication of research/journals, etc.), as well as the social/ethical commitment and the foundations of tertiary education. Lastly, Jorge has participated in projects targeting the Hispanic/ Latino population in the US and in southwestern Pennsylvania.
