Emily Donato
Emily brings deep regional roots and extensive experience working alongside young people in under-resourced communities. Having grown up in Southwestern Pennsylvania and completing a year of service with Pittsburgh Public Allies, Emily brings a strong understanding of the region’s history, challenges, and assets. Emily has built a career in youth and young-adult workforce development and community-based organizations, and brings training in trauma-informed care and restorative practices to her work. Emily believes that engaging, real-world workforce development training for young people is the key to educational, social, and economic equity. This combination of local knowledge and accountability to a nationally equity-driven organization enables BUILD Pittsburgh to operate with both cultural responsiveness and regional credibility.
