Duarte L. Sousa

Duarte L. Sousa is a Ph.D. Student at Carnegie Mellon University and Instituto Superior Técnico, as well as a researcher at the Interactive Technologies Institute. With a focus on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computing in Social Sciences, Communication Design, Arts, and Humanities, he applies his tangible interaction, user experience and participatory design skills to his work. Duarte’s research focuses on creating inclusive, interactive educational experiences that empower learners from diverse backgrounds to thrive collaboratively with novel technologies, demonstrating his ongoing pursuit of innovative solutions in the realm of HCI.
