Dorie Taylor is the co-producer of Remake Learning Days Across America. In this capacity, Dorie fields questions and feedback from participating community members and organizations within southwestern Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and participating regions across the country. As an arts and event producer, Dorie creatively marries the art and the science of event management through a thoughtful process of conceptualization, implementation, and evaluation. With nearly 20 years of experience, Dorie has produced unique events with remarkable staff from organizations as diverse as ABC Television, ESSENCE Magazine, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, Carnegie Museum of Art, A+ Schools, and Quantum Theatre. Dorie has managed a variety of events such as film festivals, black tie dinner fundraisers, awards ceremonies, and fan festivals with budgets ranging from $10,000 - $500,000. Dorie has meticulously orchestrated and improved upon new and established events. She has worked around the country in such amazing spaces as New York City’s Central Park, The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Temple of Dendur, Washington, DC’s Howard University Quad, Chicago's Lincoln Park, Miami's South Beach, and San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park. Most recently, Dorie has produced events in the city of Pittsburgh's East End, Hill District, and Cultural District neighborhoods. Combining her arts management education from Carnegie Mellon University and work experience from premiere institutions, Dorie successfully produces events befitting of an organization’s mission and beneficial to the community.
