Debralyn Woodberry-Shaw is a PhD candidate at the University of Pittsburgh in the School of Education with an expected April 2024 completion. She is exploring gendered racial identity ideologies in 5th-12th grade Black girls and gendered racial socialization messages in community-based educational spaces. She obtained her B.A. in Psychology from The Ohio State University and her Master's in Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Pittsburgh. After graduating with her MSW, Debralyn founded ELIE Circle, LLC. which strives to foster the holistic health of (1) Black girls & Black women and (2) young people & staff in community-based educational spaces through activities, research consulting, and practitioner professional development.
