Danielle Linzer
Danielle has worked to advance human-centered design and equitable evaluation practices in museums and informal learning environments nationally. She has led education, outreach, community engagement, evaluation, and access initiatives at multiple museums, including the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh and MuseumLab, The Andy Warhol Museum, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Lower East Side Tenement Museum. While at the Whitney she spearheaded Room to Rise, a national arts-based evaluation of the long term impacts of teen programs in art museums. She served as the inaugural chair of the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh IDEA Council in 2020 and was appointed a Senior DEAI Fellow for the American Alliance of Museums from 2019-2021. She also served as the former co-chair of the Museum Access Consortium in New York City. Her digital accessibility initiatives have been honored with awards from the Jodi Mattes Trust, the American Alliance of Museums, Museums and the Web, and Kids in Museums. Linzer received her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and holds an M.S. in leadership in museum education from Bank Street College of Education.
