Ashely Collins

My name is Ashely Collins and I am the American Heart Association School Engagement Director for the Greater Pittsburgh region. I work with all schools in Allegheny, Washington, Greene, and Fayette counties to bring our programs and healthwellness resources to their students, staff, and families. I also strive to learn how I can be a better community partner and make sure we are aligning with their goals and strategic plans. My goals are: 1. To make an extraordinary impact on our school communities by bringing our free health and wellness resources to their students, staff and families, 2.To highlight the importance of learning the critical lifesaving skill, Hands-Only CPR and create a nation of lifesavers, 3. To build strong relationships with school administrators, educators, communities, and local youth heart survivors, 4. To be a valued and go-to community partner, 5. To help the American Heart Association achieve it's mission to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives, and 6. To help teach students the importance of giving back by raising funds for kids with special hearts. My hope in joining Remake Learning is that I will be able to make connections, engage in thoughtful conversations, collaborate through partnerships, and increase awareness of AHA's youth programs and get more schools to participate in our youth programs.
