Amil Cook

Amil Nyerere Thomas Cook, M.Ed., bypasses traditional barriers to success by aggressively leveraging technology, language and cultural identity to advocate and obtain resources for black youth. With over 15 years of community experience, Amil teaches students and educators how to use their personal and historical narratives to increase self-efficacy, well-being, and capacity through the use of new media and technology. Amil currently serves as Director of Technology Programs & Curriculum for Community Forge, is a founding member & lead technologist at #HipHopEd, and consults for schools, non-profits and institutions throughout the United States.
