Five Questions with Remake Learning PULSE Fellow Rebecca Case

Remake Learning has a new team member. Meet Assistant Network Coordinator and PULSE Fellow Rebecca Case

The Remake Learning team is a dynamic bunch of creative and collaborative people working together to support the Remake Learning network. These are the folks making moves behind the scenes to convene, catalyze, and coordinate all that the network does to ignite engaging, relevant, and equitable learning in the Pittsburgh region.

Recently, the team welcomed a new member: Assistant Network Coordinator Rebecca Case. Rebecca is a recent graduate of Juniata College, where she received a bachelor’s degree in Professional Writing with a minor in Communications. Her work with Remake Learning is part of her year of service with PULSE, a program that partners college graduates with Pittsburgh nonprofits.

We asked Rebecca five questions to get to know more about her and what she’ll be doing to support Remake Learning.

What led you to the PULSE Fellowship?
I have always been interested in nonprofit work, and I wanted to learn more about what it entailed.
Also, I grew up in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, but I went away for college, so I was eager to come back to my hometown and work there.

What will your role be with Remake Learning?
I am going to be the Assistant Network Coordinator. I will be assisting with event coordination and grant programming.

What do you hope to learn over the course of your fellowship?
I hope to be able to gain a better sense of what I want to do professionally as well as helping to make a positive impact on Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas. This is my first experience working in the professional world, so I am very excited to learn more as I look towards starting a career.

What are you looking forward to most from your Fellowship?
I look forward to working with and interacting with incredible people as I learn more about Pittsburgh nonprofits.

What would you like the network to know about you?
I graduated from Juniata College in Huntingdon, PA with a degree in Professional Writing and a minor in Communications.

I have always been passionate about the importance of education and making sure that everyone has access to the tools they need to succeed, so I am extremely excited to be partnering with Remake Learning to help carry on this mission!
