Director at The Andy Warhol Museum

Mario R. Rossero is the Director of The Andy Warhol Museum. He is an experienced arts leader and educator, working locally and nationally to increase access to the arts for all. Prior to joining The Warhol, he served as Executive Director of the National Art Education Association (NAEA) and Senior Vice President of Education for the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, managing their national education portfolio and opening the REACH expansion. Before moving to Washington DC, Mario served in a variety of leadership roles in Chicago Public Schools (CPS), including Chief of Core Curriculum, supporting all content areas; Director of Arts Education, leading the charge to increase equity and access to all art forms for all students through the inaugural CPS Arts Education Plan; and Director of Magnet Schools and Programs. Mario also served as the Senior Program Officer for Arts Education for the Pittsburgh Public Schools and as a visual arts educator at Shaler Area School District. Mario began his career as an artist educator at The Warhol. He is active on several advisory boards and is a practicing visual artist.
