Picture this: pizza, music, and a room filled with enthusiastic folks coming together to craft adaptive toys! 🍕🎶
Tikkun Olam Makers (TOM): Pittsburgh and Duquesne University Fellows are thrilled to host a series of workshops that will ignite your creativity. Learn how to modify battery-powered toys with external switches, making them accessible for children with disabilities. It’s all about turning toys into tools for learning and play!
Switch adapted toys empower individuals with physical disabilities to explore and engage in activities independently. With the simple use of an external switch, unlock a world of fun, meaningful, and accessible experiences.
This event is for educators, students, families, and anyone with a passion for making a difference. Whether you’re a seasoned creator or new to the world of adaptive toys, your participation matters. The workshop aims to craft 20-50 toys with the help of participants.
Register today, share the word, and come together to create adaptive toys for those who deserve the joy of play. 🌟
