Meet Us at Industrial Arts Workshop – Weld For Community

Join Remake Learning and the Industrial Arts Workshop for a meetup focused on welding, community impact, and post-secondary preparation. This meetup will include youth-led, hands-on activities to learn the basics of welding, an exhibit of welded sculptures, and a tour of IAW.

The Industrial Arts Workshop (IAW), located in Hazelwood, empowers Pittsburgh-area youth and adults at the intersection of arts, community development, and workforce readiness. Through the creative process of hands-on sculpture design and welding, students develop skills and experiences that help prepare them for the workplace – whether that be in welding, another trade, the arts, or another field altogether. Youth and adults who complete IAW’s programs are stronger, more resilient, and prepared for a bright future.

• 4:30 PM – 5:00 PM: Chat and snack with other attendees while browsing sculpture exhibit
• 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Youth-Led Basic Welding Skills Workshop
• 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM: IAW Overview, Refreshments, and Networking
