National Biomechanics Day 2026 @ CMU
National Biomechanics Day is a free event for high-school students held annually at CMU. Biomechanics is the study of how living things move and interact with their environment, and combines the disciplines of biology, mathematics, physics, and engineering. Students learn about biomechanics through fun, hands-on activities which include simulating spinal surgery, simulating the heart, and observing a real robotic exosuit in action. These sessions are led by CMU graduate researchers and students who are actively working in a biomechanics related field.
