MapJam: Pittsburgh 2025

Join a creative design jam with other teens to prototype a new digital map built by and for young people. You’ll help decide how the city sees youth opportunity – what counts, what’s missing, and what’s next.

In-person attendance is preferred, but a virtual option will be made available during the event for those unable to attend in person.

Why it matters: This map will help teens like you find real opportunities to lead, learn, and create change across the city – while showing Pittsburgh how powerful youth creativity can be.

What you’ll do:

• Team up with other changemakers to tackle a community design challenge
• Prototype and test wireframes for the map
• Practice design thinking
• Imagine how data can tell stories that matter
• Share lunch, laughter, and ideas

Who it’s for: A paid opportunity for teens and young adults (14–20) who care about community, creativity, and change.
No design experience needed.
