Personalized Learning² (PL²) is an ambitious effort to address opportunity gaps in mathematics that result in inequitable outcomes for students of color and other marginalized students. PL² combines personal mentoring and tutoring with artificial intelligence learning software. It is a joint research and development project of Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh’s Center for Urban Education, along with different regional school sites.
