Dr. Ying Zhang is an assistant professor at Robert Morris University. She does research on English learners (ELs) and English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher education. With her background in ELs in content classrooms (English Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, and Math), she is interested to explore how maker activities may promote conceptual learning and language development among ELs. She has attended many maker activities offered by local school districts and designed maker activities to be used in her teacher training courses. She welcomes opportunities to collaborate with others who share the similar interests.
