Bethany (Beth) Zabiegalski is a Pittsburgh native who graduated from West Virginia University with a degree in public relations before transitioning into a career in outdoor education.
Before joining Venture Outdoors in February 2018, Beth worked in nonprofit communications for a variety of Pittsburgh organizations, including United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania. She also has experience as a camp counselor at Camp Allegheny and as a Challenging Outdoor Personal Experiences (COPE) II Facilitator at Camp Guyasuta of the Boy Scouts Laurel Highlands Council. Beth enjoys having the opportunity to introduce children of all ages to the outdoors, and helping them to discover new things about themselves and nature.
She is certified in CPR/AED and Wilderness First Aid, is a Level 2 American Canoe Association River Kayaking Instructor, and has completed Youth Mental Health First Aid Training. She loves exploring new trails in the city and beyond and traveling to find new adventures, and is trying to train her cat, Diego, to be an adventure cat. When sitting down for a minute with Diego, she also loves to knit.
