Dr. Dustin Stiver currently serves as a Senior Program Officer at The Sprout Fund. He has been with Sprout since 2007 and he leads the network-building, knowledge-sharing, and civic engagement activities of the organization.

His practice focuses on designing and facilitating opportunities for people to contribute to the community’s cultural life by sharing ideas, discussing pressing issues, and participating in consensus-driven decision-making. Previously, through Sprout, Dustin helped steward the Remake Learning Network.

Dustin frequently leads community conversations, workshops, and other facilitated activities. He has spoken at numerous conferences, including SXSWedu, the Digital Media and Learning Conference, and the Mozilla Festival.

Dustin is currently on the board of the Consortium for Public Education and he is a co-founder and co-organizer of CreativeMornings/Pittsburgh.

Dr. Stiver holds a PhD in Nonprofit Organizational Leadership from Eastern University and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) in Public and Nonprofit Management from the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs (GSPIA).

His research interests include network leadership, nonprofit collaboration, and human-centered design.
