Sherrie Silvio

Sherrie Silvio is an elementary art teacher with a rural district in Washington County, Bethlehem Center School District.  Her student-driven classroom provides students many opportunities to integrate art across disciplines while using innovation, problem solving, collaboration, and  technology.

She has taught for the past eight years and has worked with the Mattress Factory to bring installation art to her classroom.  She was also awarded a Sprout Catalytic Funding grant for  smART Talks, a STEAM Grant for Global Spaces, and an Innovation Grant for Pennsylvania Parade of Puppets.  Her fourth grade students are also active in the entrepreneurial program of EdCorps through Real World Scholars, creating a business Heroes With Heart. She is an alumni of the Art Education Collaboration Leadership Academy.
