Vince Scotto

Vincent is the K-12 STEAM Coordinator for Pittsburgh Public Schools. Vincent began his professional career as an educator as a 5th grade teacher in St. Lucie County Florida, spending 6 years there before returning to Pennsylvania. Prior to taking his current position he taught high school Mathematics and Science courses, and served as the STEM Director in York, Pennsylvania.

In addition to his role as a teacher and educational leader, Vincent led efforts in Positive Behavior Intervention Supports implementation, fostering the development of the Kids at Hope belief system, and served as the county-wide Reading Council Vice President. He has also maintained active membership in several education-related professional organizations.

At current, Vincent leads the efforts in Pittsburgh Public Schools to expand offerings of STEAM instructional practices, shift the focus from traditional instructional approaches to trans-disciplinary approaches, and oversees the development of Computer Science courses and best immersion strategies for 21st Century Skill building.
