Rachel has a demonstrated commitment to creating inclusive spaces in the arts over a career that has focused on building public/private partnerships, in ways that leverage support for the advancement of artists. Rachel rejoined Contemporary Craft in 2021 as Executive Director and is responsible for leading the organization towards their strategic goals, in their new permanent facility.  Years ago she served as the Assistant Director at Contemporary Craft, for Education.

Rachel firmly believes that art can serve as the catalyst for changing lives – whether that be through dialogue, education, or making.

Previously, she served as the Arts and Culture Manager for Allegheny County Airport Authority; the Arts, Culture, and History Specialist for the City of Pittsburgh and; was Co-Founder of KuratedPgh, a retail gallery that focused on fine art and functional craft. Rachel is the Board President at the Office for Public Art and sits on the Art Advisory Committee for the Sports and Exhibition Authority.  She is a member of both the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Print Group. She holds a Master’s in Public Administration from Gannon University and a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from Edinboro University.

In her spare time you can find Rachel in a print studio or spending time with her family in one of the region’s parks.
