Headshot for Sarah Pettit

Sara Pettit is an architect with over a decade of professional experience. One of her passions is mentorship, particularly of high schoolers interested in the study and practice of architecture. She has worked with the ACE (Architecture Construction Engineering) Mentor Program for ten years, serving various roles including mentor, team leader, board chair, and advisory council member.

Sara now serves as the Program Coordinator for a new summer design studio for high schoolers at the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt)’s Architectural Studies Program, starting summer 2021. The program seeks to expose students from Pittsburgh to opportunities in architecture and provide underserved populations a pipeline to Pitt, ultimately in service of improving diversity in architecture as a whole.

Sara resides in Pittsburgh with her preservation architect husband and two young children.
