Nora Peters is a Pittsburgh native and a product of the Pittsburgh Public School system. She worked as a maker educator and then Maker Program Director at the Millvale Community Library, starting the Millvale Makers after school and summer program, and building a full calendar of engaging (and free) maker learning opportunities for the youth of Millvale. Now employed by Reading Is FUNDamental Pittsburgh, Nora is the director of the Everybody Wins! literacy mentoring program. Passionate about the intersection of literacy and making, Nora spends her free time creating book-based maker prompts using the Children’s and Teen collections at the Millvale Community Library.
