Dana Nowlin-Russell is a lecturer in composition at the University of Pittsburgh. She regularly teaches Grant Writing and other courses in the Public and Professional Writing (PPW) Program. In addition to teaching, Dana offers faculty grant writing support through Pitt’s Writing Institute and grant writing workshops through Pitt Community Engagement Centers.
Dana has a diverse professional experience that includes working in education, mental health, and publishing, and she has collaborated with students and writers across various settings. She earned a BA in sociology and PPW certificate from the University of Pittsburgh and an MFA in creative writing from Chatham University.
