Christine Nguyen, STEM Director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western PA, is committed to making the after-school arena a place where all students have access to the materials and caring mentors they need to explore new ideas and skills, allowing them to be successful in today’s workplace.

As an award winner of the 2017 Carnegie Science Award in Leadership in Career and Technical Education, Christine has exposed thousands of local youth to STEM and Computer Science-related activities through creating camps, programs, and classes.

With nearly two decades in STEM education, Christine has had the privilege of chartering internationally competitive robotics teams, growing the region’s involvement in technology education through robotics competitions, developing and implementing a nationally recognized Artificial Intelligence program, and creating caring and equitable environments for all students to learn.

In her spare time, Christine is a mom of three, a bibliophile, and a marathoner.
