Dr. Johnny M. Moore currently serves as the third President of Pierpont Community & Technical College in Fairmont, West Virginia. He has over 27 years of leadership experience at higher education institutions at both the two and four-year levels. As president, he is laser focused on enhancing the quality of life for people of North-Central West Virginia through accessible, affordable, comprehensive, responsive, workforce-related training, and quality higher education opportunities. A first-generation college student, he attended Philander Smith College in Little Rock, Arkansas, on a basketball scholarship. He received his Master of Science in mathematics from Arkansas State University and a Ph.D. from the Florida Institute of Technology. Dr. Moore resides in Morgantown, West Virginia.
