Laura Micco moved to Pittsburgh and fell in love with teaching science. For many years she taught in the education department of non-profits such as the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium and Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens.

Upon receiving her masters degree in elementary education from Chatham University Laura immediately went to the newly opened Environmental Charter School in Frick Park. She has not left since. Over the years she has taught environmental science to every grade level in the school, Kindergarten through Eighth Grade. She currently works as the school’s Instructional Coach and Environmental Coordinator. She is certified to teach elementary science, middle school science and environmental science.
