Renee is a middle school English language arts and U.S. history teacher in the South Fayette Township School District. Her classroom provides opportunities for engagement, creativity, and exploration of curricular topics with an emphasis on the usage of technology to develop a deeper understanding of those topics as well as the technology itself.

Renee has been teaching at the middle school level for the past 19 years. During this time, she has written a district grant to add to the technological access within her classroom, as well as created opportunities for her students to take ownership of the technology and how it is applied to various curricular concepts. In 2008, she wrote two textbooks to be used in conjunction with two online courses that she developed focusing on developing literary analysis and composition skills. In 2011, she attended ISTE as a guest presenter for Polyvision, as well as attending the 2016 Maker Faire in New York City.  Renee earned her National Board Certification in Early Adolescent/English Language Arts in 2012.
