Mr. Martin began his career in education as an elementary teacher where he spent 12 years in the classroom. He has been an administrator in three districts: the California School District, East Allegheny School District, and Frazier School District spanning over 13 years.  During this time, he served as an Assistant Principal, Elementary Principal, Middle School Principal, High School Principal, and Assistant Superintendent. Prior to joining the IU1 team in 2010, Mr. Martin served as Superintendent of Schools in the Frazier School District.

He is a graduate of California University of Pennsylvania, earning his BA in Speech Communications, and MEd in Elementary Education.  Mr. Martin also holds K-12 Principal Certification and earned a Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility.

A major part of his duties at Intermediate Unit 1 is to oversee all operations and marketing of both the stationary and mobile Fab Labs.

Mr. Martin is a member of the Remake Learning Council.
