Mrs. Dawn Logan is a physics teacher at Bethlehem Center High School. She has taught for 21 years and throughout her career has added coursers and increased students’ accessibility to science competitions and activities. She is very involved in the Bethlehem Center High School science curriculum, understands the importance of STEM/STEAM, and would like to extend what’s being done in the high school to other buildings within her school.
In addition to teaching, Mrs. Logan commits her spare time to helping students prepare to compete in events such as Pennsylvania Envirothon (regional level), Pennsylvania Governor’s STEM Competition (regional level), Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science (regional/state level), plus some local STEAM competitions.
Mrs. Logan recently added an AP Physics 1 course to Bethlehem Center High School and has offered to teach the AP Computer Science Principles course. Mrs. Logan also oversees the Science Club and its fundraisers for trips and tours to colleges, universities, and research centers – so that this financial burden does not fall to her students.
