Erika Klose is a Coordinator in the Office of Teaching and Learning for the West Virginia Department of Education, where she coordinates Science, STEAM, and Computer Science, in addition to other initiatives. A trained geologist, she is a past president of the West Virginia Science Teachers Association. Klose completed ten years teaching seventh grade science, prior to her current position. Klose is a National Board Certified Teacher. In 2017, she received the Milken Educator Award and the Presidential Award for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching.
Klose currently serves on the Remake Learning Council.
