Rachael is an elementary art teacher in the Central Greene School District. Her classroom provides opportunity for creativity, exploration, usage of technology and the integration of the classroom curriculum into the art room.

Rachael has been teaching art in the elementary school for the past 16 years. During this time, she has written STEAM grants to bring more technology into the art room, as well as created a small makerspace in the classroom where students are able to use a variety of materials to create and problem solve. She has attended many Fab Lab workshops and trainings, and is working to integrate more STEAM into the current curriculum. Five years ago, she created a student run elementary news station that produces a weekly broadcast that she continues to oversee. She is working to ensure that the students in Greene county are exposed to the arts, technology and experiences that otherwise they may not have access to.
