Wayne Jones is a native of the Garfield community, located in the inner city of Pittsburgh. He is a results-driven professional, priding himself on being a visionary and transformational leader.
As CEO of the Penn Hills Charter School of Entrepreneurship, a K-8 public school, Mr. Jones oversees all facets of the school’s operations, planning, and execution.
Mr. Jones holds a Bachelor’s degree and MBA from the California University of Pennsylvania and is currently pursuing a Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility and Ed.D. in Leadership and Administration from Point Park University. He holds a variety of volunteer positions, including serving as a board member for the Program to Aid Citizen Enterprise, the Leaders Council of the Pennsylvania Coalition of Public Charter Schools, the United Way Proposal Review Committee, Planning Committee for the State of Black Learning annual conference, a youth mentor for Brothers and Sisters Emerging, the founder of the Garfield Gators 7 on 7 football program, and a coach for the Garfield Gators youth football program.
