Jeff Hadley is the Assistant Superintendent of the Avonworth School District. Prior to becoming the Assistant Superintendent at Avonworth, Jeff served as an elementary teacher for ten years in the Fox Chapel Area School District and then held administrative positions in both the Riverview School District and Plum Borough School District. Jeff has been a member of the ABC Create Collaborative since 2015 and is dedicated to changing the way educators approach education with an emphasis on ensuring students are immersed in authentic educational experiences that promote collaboration, communication, and creativity.
Jeff Hadley earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh in 1995. After working in the world of business for four years, he returned to the University of Pittsburgh to earn his elementary teaching certificate. After becoming a teacher in the Fox Chapel Area School District, Jeff returned to the University of Pittsburgh to earn his Master of Elementary Teaching Degree and K-12 Principal Certificate. Once becoming an administrator, Jeff continued his education at the University of Pittsburgh earning his Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility and Doctor of Education Degree.
Away from education, Jeff enjoys time with his family. Jeff and his wife enjoy the arts and music culture offered by Pittsburgh and especially enjoy going to musicals. Jeff also enjoys spending time with his son playing golf and watching all of Pittsburgh’s amazing sports teams.
