Brad Gentile

Brad Gentile has been teaching children ranging from kindergarten through eighth grade at Propel McKeesport for eleven years. Previously, he was a Fine Art and Graphic Design instructor for five years at The International Academy of Design and Technology after spending 10 years as a graphic designer and Art director. Additionally, Brad is the mentor of the student Afterschool Art Club and also leads Faculty Development Training. He has a Master’s degree in Art Education from Carlow University, a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Advertising from Towson State University.

Brad has engaged in extensive training with Harvard’s “Project Zero,” twice being selected to attend their intensive and prestigious Summer Institute. He is a member of the Pittsburgh and Harvard graduate school’s “Agency by Design” Cohort study. As a presenter at both state and national education conferences, Brad highlights arts integration within the classroom. Brad has also created, built and maintained a cross-curricular collaborative project between Propel McKeesport and the Frick Art and History Center.

Before teaching at Propel, Brad was with The International Academy of Design and Technology, a post-secondary institution, for five years. As an instructor in Fine Arts and Graphic Design, he was nominated for the Career Education Corporation “Educator of the Year” for two consecutive years.

In his free time, Brad likes painting and photography.
