Susan Emmett joined the Beaver Valley Intermediate Unit 27 in June of 2021 as an Instructional Technology Specialist. Prior to this, she worked for nearly a decade as a public-school teacher, almost another decade as a Professional Development Specialist, and nearly six years as a curriculum developer and Director of Academic Products for an online learning company. Susan has traveled throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and nationally, providing researched-based professional learning to educators. She has a passion for all learners (children and adults alike), and one of her greatest joys is mentoring and coaching fellow professionals as the refine their craft.

At the Beaver Valley Intermediate Unit, Susan leads all STEM and computer science initiatives, supports the Curriculum Department, develops and facilitates professionally development, and serves the 14 schools districts and 3 charter schools in her area.

Attending and teaching school in 3 different regions of the United States, Susan brings a unique perspective to Western Pennsylvania. Susan errand her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of North Texas and her Master’s Degree from Liberty University.
