David is an artist, inventor and educator with studios in the Pittsburgh area. In 2009, Edwards formed a team of engineers and educators known as Art Energy Design (AED). AED has received notable grants, technology awards and US State Department acknowledgement for their ongoing works combining science and technology within the context of art.

David’s eco-sculptures and educational workshops are featured annually at the Carnegie Science Center, the Carnegie Children’s Museum, Carnegie Libraries, Frick Environmental Center, Three Rivers Arts Festival and at numerous regional exhibitions. Art Energy Design is growing, and is currently looking for mutually beneficial partnerships with Pittsburgh organizations interested in dynamic sustainable art combine with educational support.
