Mr. Crowley is currently the High School Principal at Canon-McMillan High School. Over the past five and a half years, he has had the opportunity to work as an Assistant Principal and Principal at Canon-McMillan High School. During that time, he has worked with staff, the Board of School Directors, Central Office, and community stakeholders to shift the educational paradigm to ensure the students are being given the opportunity to hone and apply real-world skills.
These initiatives have led to the creation of the CM Store and partnerships with Microsoft, Amazon, and Carnegie Mellon to better their Computer Science program. The High School team has also worked to increase their Advanced Placement courses, offer a College in the High School course through the University of Pittsburgh, and has entered into a dual enrollment partnership with Pittsburgh Technical College.
Currently, Mr. Crowley is working with the High School Administrative team, students, and community stakeholders to promote and ensure social justice, restorative practices, and equity at the High School. Prior to coming to Canon-McMillan, Mr. Crowley graduated from Duquesne University with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education Social Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in History. He taught at Butler Junior High School for eight years and during that time he pursued a degree in Educational Administration from Duquesne University. Mr. Crowley is honored to be the Principal of Canon-McMillan High School and is excited and eager to continue to work with his staff, students, parents, and community stakeholders to ensure each student’s success.
